KFH Inspire Day with London Youth

6th November, 2024

Last week, Liam Moule (Talent Development Partner) and Alice Moss (Head of Talent Acquisition) hosted an Inspire Day with young people from Streets of Growth and Leaders in Community, both member organisations of our charity partner, London Youth.

The session was packed with valuable guidance, CV writing and interview tips, and a nail-biting negotiation game! Participants got a glimpse into the property industry and had the chance to meet some inspiring individuals from across our business.

The young people also had the fantastic opportunity to chat with Tim Beattie (Regional Sales Branch Director) and Ashley Loppas (Regional Lettings Branch Director), asking insightful questions about their journeys at KFH and seeking advice on entering the property industry and the job market in general.

Jade Comben (Senior Account Manager at London Youth) shared her thoughts on the day: "The young people found it so valuable, and it was great to see them all asking questions about life at KFH."

Shuma Begum (Employability Programme Manager at Streets of Growth) says, "It was an impactful insights day that motivated and engaged the participants. The inspiring stories of the KFH professionals and the fun and interactive activities during the employability session empowered and boosted our young peoples' confidence to dream big!"

The session was packed with valuable guidance, CV writing and interview tips, and a negotiation game

Feedback from delegates was also overwhelmingly positive

"I enjoyed learning new ways to break down your CV."

"I loved the interactive games."

"The negotiation game boosted my confidence and I enjoyed learning how to answer questions."

"The session harnessed skills that we never thought we had."

"We gained excellent communication, presentation and team working skills."

Here are some thoughts from our team:

"It was a brilliant day and I really enjoyed sitting down with the group and helping them prepare for the next step in their journey after school/college. Whilst I think they managed to get a lot of information on how to prepare for job interviews and get their CV looking great, it was also great for Alice, Tim, Ashley, and I to hear more about the experience of the younger generation, for example, AI and how is being used as a tool in everyday life." (Liam Moule, Talent Development Partner at KFH)

"It was an incredibly fun and inspiring day. The young people shared their brilliant career aspirations, including becoming biomedical scientists, midwives, radiographers, psychologists, and property managers. We hope they took away some valuable golden nuggets to help them in future job searches and beyond." (Alice Moss, Head of Talent Acquisition at KFH)

"I found the session really thought provoking, particularly the section on the use of AI and how it is seen and used by a different generation." (Tim Beattie, Regional Sales Branch Director)
