Career success story - Faruk Idris

Earlier this year, Faruk Idris (Senior Lettings Negotiator, Clapham Common) won the ‘Lettings Rising Star’ at our annual awards celebration. Below he discusses his career so far, the support he has received and looks towards the future. 

I started my journey with KFH on 3 July 2023 with enthusiasm and a drive to grow in my career. From day one, I was welcomed by an incredible team that supported me in developing my skills and navigating the challenges of the industry.  

Throughout my time here, I’ve had the privilege of working with some truly inspiring colleagues who have helped shape my professional growth. Whether it was tackling complex situations, learning from experienced mentors, or contributing to key company initiatives, every step has been a learning experience that pushed me to excel.  

One of the highlights of my journey has been achieving the Lettings Rising Star award at this year’s annual celebration. This recognition is not just a reflection of my individual efforts but also of the collaborative and supportive environment that KFH fosters. It’s a testament to the culture of growth, innovation and excellence that makes this company a fantastic place to work.  

An honourable mention must go to my manager, Lloyd, who has been an incredible mentor throughout my journey. He always told me that the fine lines in our job are what separate the normal negotiators from the elite — a lesson that has truly shaped my mindset and approach. His guidance has been instrumental in my growth, and I’m grateful for his support every step of the way.  

Looking ahead, I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead at KFH. I’m eager to continue making an impact, learning from the best, and contributing to the company’s ongoing success.
