£55,000 raised for London Youth

We have raised over £55,000 in support of London Youth.
The past nine months have been a hive of activity with staff members from across all 60 branches taking part in charity events to help raise money for London Youth, a charity that supports a network of diverse community youth groups and clubs across the Capital.
Some of the fundraising activities so far have included:
Charity day
In July, KFH hosted a charity day across the Group. Over £5,500 was raised through a number of initiatives including raffles, ‘keepie uppie’ competitions and bake sales to name a few. The aim of the day was to engage with the local communities, inform them on the amazing work that London Youth does within the Capital and to encourage them to get involved at any level.
Toughest
22 KFH adventurers trained hard and took on one of the most challenging obstacle races in the UK. In June, and on one of the hottest days of the year, the team ran the 8km Toughest race, tackling 40 obstacles in the process. In addition to the amazing team spirit created by the challenge, nearly £7,000 was raised.
London Marathon
Three members of staff ran the Virgin Money London Marathon in April and managed to raise over £5,200 in the process.
Bowling and quiz nights
A number of branches have organised fundraising pub quiz and bowling nights. These initiatives help bring our staff together in fun evenings out and have raised over £3,600.
Family fun day
A family fun day was organised for employees and their families from across the company to enjoy a day out and to raise money for London Youth. The day raised in excess of £1,000 and a lot of fun was had!
London – Surrey Cycle
In July, four members of staff took on the Prudential Ride London. The race is a gruelling 100 mile route through the Capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. The team raised almost £2,600.
British 10km
Eleven staff members across five branches completed the British 10km race in Westminster. They managed to raise over £1,700.
Gauntlet Games
Seven members of the Clerkenwell branch took on the Gauntlet Games. They ran 5km, completing more than 20 obstacles and managed to raise over £350.
Food drive
KFH’s central London branches organised a food drive and donated 16 boxes of much needed food to the New Horizon Youth Centre.
Bear Grylls Challenge
At the end of September, 27 people took on the Bear Grylls Survival Challenge. The team made their way through a 10km course with over 40 obstacles and survival challenges. They battled the elements of desert, artic, jngle and mountain, testing their abilities to endure a range of real-world survival scenarios. Over £4,200 was raised.
